Day 2

Well, it's day 2 and I woke up feeling pretty good!  It usually takes me quite a while to actually get out of bed in the mornings and even though I went to bed around the same time as usual, it was easier for me get going today.
I forgot to mention that I had a headache for a few hours yesterday, as the withdrawals hit me fast.  Since I ate dinner last night though, I've felt fine.  Speaking of dinner, I had the same thing as I had for lunch minus the kielbasa.  Chicken, broccoli, and a tiny potato this time.  I intended to cook something from the groceries I bought, but by the time I got home I was so hungry that I just stuck my leftovers in the microwave.  Oh well.  I did get to make up 2 salads for lunches though.  This is mine for today : )

Homemade "ranch" dressing (greek yogurt)
Organic red peppers
onion
cheddar cheese (organic?)
roasted chicken
50/50 spinach and spring greens

For breakfast: Organic banana.  Which made me think... How is it that animals (non-captive) eat better than we do? And for free!  It's crazy to think that there are monkeys out there right now eating Organic bananas!  But then if you trail that thought... The only thing "organic" about a banana is that we choose to call it that.  Organic bananas are actually just bananas.  It's the "bananas" WE eat that aren't natural.  I guess they're still bananas, but not the way nature intended them to be with the pesticides and hormones.  Humans should eat real food.  Is the food you eat as real as the food the animals eat?
