Recap

I can't remember every single meal I've eaten between now and the last time I documented, but I have pictures of some.  I've eaten Paleo EXCEPT FOR:

1.  I had a McAllister's mexican salad with tortilla chips and potato salad once.

2.  I bought a WHOLE PINT of Goldie's Express potato salad and ate it all in one sitting.

3.  I ate a work-luncheon for Teacher Appreciation Day- One strip of fried chicken (I tried to de-bread it), 3 small meatballs, probably fake cheese, and a 2x1 in. piece of cake with frosting.

4.  Goldie's Express Smoked Chicken dinner plate with coleslaw and potato saladYUM, and a cornbread muffin. I figured cornbread was the least sinful of "french bread" and "garlic bread."

5.  Oh, and then one night I ate like 4 Paleo brownies, which, technically, is paleo.  But still.  4.

I think that's my only cheats since last post.  Not too terrible.  Here are the pictures of the foods I HAVE documented.

I Hate Eggplant.

Ok, so I've been the worst blogger ever.  Even though this is more like a private diary, seeing as I'm the only one who reads it.  Unless it's you, Mikey, cuz I'm making you read it.

I have discovered a few paleo foods that I dislike.  And I need to make a list so I don't get stupid and eat them again.

HATE
1. EGGPLANT.  I do not like eggplant.  I do not like it here.  I do not like it there.  I do not like it anywhere.  Especially in my Buffalo Chicken Lasagna where it ruined the taste of 1 lb. of chicken.

2.  ASPARAGUS.  I tried really hard to like asparagus, but I have failed.  I can eat it IN things okay, but I can't help but think of dirty feet covered in maple syrup when I eat it.  Not sure if that's a correct description, but it will have to do.  I guess I should amend this to say, I actually like asparagus if it's CHAR-GRILLED. Only way I enjoy it, apparently.

3.  BRUSSEL SPROUTS.  This is 50/50... on one side, I had a bite that was pretty good.  On the other side, I had a bite that tasted like feces and dirt- not as good.

LOVE
I think that's all the ones I hate.  So now let's make an ode to the foods I surprisingly LOVE.

1.  BROCCOLI.  Roasted, Steamed, Boiled, Sautéed; really anything but raw... it's a texture thing.

2.  CAULIFLOWER.  Roasted and mashed, it's incredible really.

3.  SPAGHETTI SQUASH.  OMG best vegetable ever.  Maybe not so much for the actual flavor, but more for the potential of this almost flavor-less vehicle of deliciousness.  It picks up the flavor of whatever you put in it.

4.  There will probably be more later.  I'm still waiting to try okra again.
